Yes Terry...thats the way mine works....but he's saying the radio plays even though the control is in the phono section.

Ohhhhh! Well then it would seem that the control is open @ the tap. Give it a check w/ an ohm meter to see if all is well and the needle doesn't jump around while turning.

Sent out my cartridge today to West-Tech. Will be letting all know when its up and running.

Got my rebuilt cartridge in today.
put it in and works fine.
