Model 37-60 resistor #19 value. Any production changes/ -
Sourbone - 12-26-2014
Hello:
I'm working on a model 37-60. I'm wondering if there was perhaps a production change with resistor 19. All the literature says it should be 9K and 2 watts. What is in place is a 30K, 2 watt dog bone resistor. It looks original. There are some other elements that are slightly different. I was wondering if there were any changes in production.
Thanks,
Dave

I'd stick with the value of R19 found in the set, provided it is original, and measures the same as indicated on the part; probably wouldn't make much of a difference in this case - certainly not a show stopper. From what I've seen, minor changes were made all the time depending on what parts were on hand, or to improve reliability/performance, and documentation for non critical stuff just wasn't done with regularity.
