Philco Model 28L Capacitor - HORSTE - 12-27-2024

Hello,

I'm restoring a Philco 28L. It has two capacitors part # 30-2083. 12+6 -150 .One terminal is marked with a red dot.
Is the red dot the 12 or the 6 micro-farad?
Thanks for your help.

Horst

Welcome to the Phorum, Horste. At the bottom of the page is the Philco Radio Library. A schematic and parts list are available to trace back the capacitor and determine which side is which. I would suggest replacing all caps, paper and electrolytics. Mica caps are replaced only as needed. Check and replace any out-of-tolerance resistors as well. Post all your efforts and include photos as well as any questions that arise. Lots of help available here. Take care and BE HEALTHY! Gary
