48-472 No FM
#1

Hi guys,
I've got one that I've been working on for a while. All caps replaced, tubes tested. AM works great-nothing on FM.
Any ideas?

If you input a 9.1 MHz FM signal from your 8601A into the first IF stage, do you hear anything?
#3

Would that be applying the signal at the antenna or where it states in the instructions?
Thanks,

Where ever the alignment procedure says to input the 9.1 MHz IF signal for alignment should be fine. What you want to find out is if the IF or FM detector is the problem, or its the FM local oscillator that's causing no reception.

Great. Thanks. I'll check it later today and let you know.
