A friend of mine has a Zenith 6S152 console with a bad chassis. Hoping that there is a similarity between the 5634 chassis and a, known good, 8S154/5801 chassis I put a bid in for this chassis. The cabinet is in very good condition. Did I blunder on trying to help my best friend? I expect to win the bid.

They're both 1937 models but the one you're buying is an 8 tube vs your friends 6 tube chassis.  The 8 tube chassis has a Target Tuning indicator so it all depends if the dials are the same size.  I don't have a 6 and 8 tube chassis to compare right now, but hopefully it will slide right in.
