Masterpeice V Correct?
#1

http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/mcmurdo_masterpiece_v.html

Is this listing correct? In particular the picture of the 2 12" Jensens + tweeter mounted on a new looking baffle. And the text that also mentions the 2 Jensens?

I have been told that this may have been correct for the MPIV but the only speaker for the MPV was the 18" Jensen.

That's what you get for going to that website Icon_lol

But seriously...I'm no Silver expert but I have never heard of an MP V using anything but the 18 inch Super-Giant Jensen speaker. Now, the dual field coils used in the MP V speaker has a different DC resistance than the dual fields in the MP VI speaker, but both are 18 inch Jensens.

I would like to see that photo up close...I suspect all of those stickers on the backs of the speakers are reproductions.

If you can contact Y2KBruce, he can tell you more about it. He knows more about those sets than I do.

Yep. Norman B. down in Redding says the same thing. He has seen more than a few of them.

Yes, Norman, of course. He is VERY knowledgeable in all things McMurdo and Scott. If he says the MP V only used the Super-Giant, then it's so.
