Good call Mike - bass compensation it is! Great to learn all these subtle changes.

Ron - I was bewildered by the QAVC on our 16X, it seems a very lavish use (waste?) of an extra valve in the chassis! An RF amp is indeed a better use!
I don't hold with furniture that talks.
