Great looking 71.
They are not too hard to restore, short of possible RF coils rewind, which is not too bad either if required. Of course if the power transformer is good, which is the case most times. Congratulations! People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Where did the pictures go? Can you re-post them?
Thanks, Dwayne It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

I just recently found and restored this very same set. After a complete electronic rebuild it worked and sounded very good. I was pleased with the performance.

That is beautiful. That's good motivation to start on the one I picked up last summer.

That's a beautiful radio and a beautiful picture of it.
My tastes favor six legs with stretchers. It conveys to me a sense of sturdyness.

I have always liked the six leg sets as well and they seem to be few and far between around here. In 35 years of collecting this is only my second six leg set.
