can anyone tell me how to remove grille cloth that's in good condition with out damaging it... I'm getting ready to refinish cab and i am worried about getting finish on it ,,it looks like it is riveted on

Glad you found the answer. It's been so long since I messed with a 1946 Philco radio/phonograph that I had forgotten how the grille cloth and backing board were held in place.
