Philco Rolltop Model 10647E
#1

A few questions.
Does anyone know the date for this model;?
I turned it on and it hummed but I received no station.
It appears that a component is missing ( by opening the back ).  There is a hanging 5 prong connector.  Is something missing?  There is a large empty space at the bottom of the cabinet.
Anyone?

Hi Archy -

The number 10647E doesn't sound like a model number. Do you have a photo you could share?

Philco made a couple of different 'rolltop' models. From your description it sounds like it might be a console model - perhaps a 38-690?

For portable units there's models like the 46-350:

The number was on a sticker inside the cabinet.

here is your radio sometimes confused as a 10647. It is as said above a model 46-350.
There is nothing missing. That is the battery hookup. The lower half is where the batteries go.
