Good Evening,
Why oh why is it so difficult to restring these? I have a philco 46-1201 that I am trying to restring and I need a spring. Does anyone know where you can buy one? Hardware store maybe? Nothing but the big box stores open I think right now.
thanks
Chris

You might try an auto parts store - maybe carburetor springs would come close?

Yes, try the neighborhood hardware store. I bought a half dozen from my local ACE a while back. They have a nice selection.

See if you could fashion one out of ball spring pen.

Harbor Freight has a 200 spring assortment for about $5 that might have one that will work.
