Philco model 511
#1

Gentlemen and Radio Techs,

I have model 511 Philco I need the information on the cap block on and I need to know which way the electrolytic caps are layed out. I mean which way the plus and minus ends of the cap block go. And also there is a 13k resistor located in the power section that is not mentioned in the schematic. I am sending a picture of the bottom set.
As you can see if you look at the far right in the power section you will see a resistor that is black and blue and I found out that the Philco pre RMA code of that part is 13k.
Is this a late addtion or what? And how are the BC resistor taps are layed out as well?
If anyone can give some aid on this problem that would be helpful.

You can get the entire 38-page Installation and service manual thru my Schematic Info page on my site.
Also has technical info, schematic, parts listings, etc.
Manual also covers models 512, 513, 514, 515.
Regards,

Chuck
