Had a lady send me an email w/ a picture of a radio she said would be good for a "Theatrical Production" LOL
This is what I got !!
1931 Philco 50
will need new speaker or recone
I already have Whiskey Grill cloth for it
cabinet in descent condition
will need electronic restoration
Not a bad day !!
Have a house to go to tonight, fingers crossed !! For a buyout !!!

Oh my, you appear to have found an early 50 at that! Shame about the speaker, though. Little kid damage I would say. I found a model 50 last fall, but it is the later version in its own style of cabinet.

I think you have a 51 which was made later than the 50. I have heard of early 51's with the 50 chassis.

Yes, it's a model 51. A unique cabinet ONLY fund in the model 51. These sets are not a great performer, being an entry level set.

BUT they are a very attractive and unique set!!!
