Philco 45 wiring
#1

Restoring a Philco 45C. I think the 45L electronics would be similar. Looks like it has been serviced many times in its 80-year life, including wire rerouting. The schematic has been of some help. But, there are still issues in the RF wiring.

Does anyone have a 45 chassis that still has the band switch, antenna and oscillator coils wired in place? I've looked at online restoration photos but the fiberboard 2x4 connection platforms always cover some of the areas I need to see.
Normally I would give up the ghost on one such as this, but it has the beautifully designed Butterflly cabinet.

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.     John

Thanks Terry.

I've contacted Kirk (Oldrestorer) and he has been helping me rewire the bandswitch, oscillator coil, and antenna coil the way it came from the factory. In addition to photos from his two sets, he drew out a nice sketch of the wiring.

I have to admit, Kirk's the last of the good guys.
