41-295 I.F. Transformer Caps Missing
#1

http://www.nostalgiaair.org/PagesByModel...013423.pdf

Have the 3rd I.F. can, part #42 open. Suspected open coil, but it is OK. Schematic shows two 100mmfd caps inside, #'s 42A and 42B, and #42C, a 47K resistor. The resistor is there but no caps. The black wire that grounds the two caps just dead-ends at pin. Does anyone know if this was a production change? If so, why did they leave the wire ? 99% sure radio left factory like this. I don't know enough to determine what  effect  this would have on circuit.

The 100 pF caps are built into the white ceramic piece at the top of the IF transformer, so they are not visible.

OK,thanks. Curious. Are they under the variable or actually cast into the ceramic?
