"Octals?"

Yes.... the larger glass tubes with the larger bases and up to 8 pins. Neither schematic that David just sent can be it...the one has 7-pin miniature tubes....the other has SIX octals...yours only has 5.   Icon_wtf

Hold the presses!

The "miniature" schematic also has octals listed below the miniature numbers.....never seen that before....so it might be your schmatic.

Jake take a look at the Hallicrafters series S-38D an S-38E  8pin vs 7pin tubes . the cabinets are different but the only real difference under the hood are the tubes. Marketing at its finest!! Have a Happy New Year.
