37-10 transformer
#1

Does anyone know how to tell which of the three listed power transformers is the correct one? There are three listed on the original instructions that I found on this site?

It's simple, really.

There should be a small rectangular sticker inside the cabinet giving the model number, code number, AC input voltage and frequency (115 volts, 50-60 cycles; 115 volts, 25-40 cycles; or 115-240 volts, 50-60 cycles).

The most likely candidate would be the 32-7606, which was made for a 115 volt, 50-60 cycle input.

If your radio used the 25 cycle power transformer, the thickness of the transformer's laminations would be far greater than the one shown.

If your radio used the 115-240 volt transformer, the top of the transformer would have a metal cover over it with the rectifier socket offset to one side and a switch enabling you to select between 115 and 240 volts next to the rectifier tube socket.
