Got that wink in my eye
#1

I finally found an NOS 6U5 green "magic" tuning eye tube for my 1938 Silvertone console model 6152 online tonight. It's been burned out for years, and I could never find one under $40... until now. That's actually the only reason I'm hanging on to that radio... as much as I like the shadow meters used on the 1930's Philco's, I have to admit that glowing green winking eye is pretty cool looking! Can't wait to get it lit up again.

Congratulations! I'm glad you finally found one at the price you wanted. Sometimes it feels like patience isn't rewarded in this hobby because the prices always seem to go up, but then you find that deal. Icon_thumbup
