Resistance Readings for Philco 118
#1

Just acquired a Philco Model 118. (The version with the tombstone cabinet)
The chassis has 8 tubes and shadow meter tuning. It looks like everything is there.

Before I get too deep into this project I want to check all of the coils ,the power transformer, the audio transformer, 1st & 2nd I.F., and any other coil that I failed to mention.

That being said, I am looking on the Rider's schematic (Page 5-36) and I see there is no resistance values given for the parts I want to check.

Does anyone have a schematic or information that shows the proper resistance values?

Hi Kirk
Generally speaking you are looking things that have a pretty low resistances. If you see anything above 5K or so that part may be suspect. Most should be around a few hundred ohms if not lower.
Nice set!! Should be a GREAT player!! I think I've got the modern style console. Haven't fixed her up yet.
