Adapting a long-wire antenna to 41-295
#1

I am contemplating putting up a long-wire antenna and I am curious about exactly how to hook it up to my 41-295. What I would really like to do is to then match the impedance of the long-wire (approx 450 ohm) to a 50 or 75 ohm coaxial for that portion that would run through my attic and therefore be subjected to interference from my in-house appliances and wiring. My questions would be to which antenna terminal would I connect the single wire, and how can I match the different impedance of the two lines? And then, what is the preferred antenna input impedance of the 41-295?

If you want to add an external antenna to your 41-295, you have to make use of the small three-pin jack on the back of the chassis. You will also have to construct an adapter to connect to this jack.
