Majestic 5A445 Cartridge question.

Sams set 23 folder 4713-12

This is a combo AM radio and Phonograph on top. It was pretty much a basket case but with not being able to go anywhere I said why not. So I got the radio working and aligned, got the turn table working and refinished the Cabinet. My problem is the Crystal Cartridge, of course it is dead. Per a YouTube video I opened it up and installed a piezoelectric disc. It works but the volume is pretty low so I'm guessing the output is pretty low as opposed to a Crystal which could go as high as 4 volts. I do not believe this is the original cartridge. What if any are my alternatives?  Can a resistor or capacitor be changed to help?

Thanks
Eric

I replaced a dead crystal cartridge with a ceramic one from voiceofmusic.com and it worked great. It cost about $30. I can look up the item number if you're interested.
