philco model 42-380 Help with chassis identification?
#1

I just brought home a model 42-380 code 121. This unit has the caps upgraded and the 6X5GTG has been removed with 2 diodes added to the empty socket. How do I find the model number for the chassis? There is a stamp on the back of the chassis M70039. Does this make it a M70? The inside paper tag is readable, but I don't see any chassis info.

Hello and welcome!

You've found it already - a model 42-380 is a model 42-380. Icon_smile The tag on the back with the number M70039 is the chassis serial number.

I understand the model number and serial number. What I need is the schematic. The phorum links to schematics don't list the 42-380. Help?

Contact Chuck Schwark and get the best possible copy of the schematic for your 42-380. And you don't get just a schematic, but an 11" x 17" enlarged copy of the schematic, plus all pertinent service info including production changes.

Well worth the modest cost.
