Philco PT10 - Need pictures
#1

I have a PT10 Philco that has been mauled by someone.  Wires have been cut or disconnected and some of the caps have been removed.  All the coils, transformers, field coil, and output transformer all  check out ok so I think this radio could be restored.  I have the schematic but it would really help if I could get a few detailed pictures of the underside and top of the chassis.

Thanks, Bob

Bob, drop down to the bottom to the Philco Radio Library. 1941 service manual and schematic available there. Take care and BE HEALTHY! Gary

If the wires aren't cut short you maybe able to tell where they go. Since it's a '41 set you mize well rewire it. A lot of it going to be intuitive just from placement. Keep your leads short as possible and neat. Somewhere around there is a Philco color code list which could be helpful to sort pri 2ndy on the IFTs.
Rf and osc coils the ohm meter is going to be your friend to determine the pri/2ndy. Then trial and error.

I had a 40-2** console that was given to me that was in a similar condition. I really went back together pretty easily. Kinda backwards from what we do most of the time...

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!
