Philco Model Q-1717-126
#1

I am new to the record player world and just inherited my grandfather's Philco. I know it was working at his house but in transit to mine something has happened and the albums will not play. I am not sure if or how to attach a video to here but can email one to someone. Everything looks like it is going to start working and then it just shuts itself off. Can someone please tell me if I am doing something wrong?

I don’t work on many turn tables so can’t help much but hopefully someone will chime in. Q models are 1967 vintage so there could easily be lots of grime and congealed oil in the mechanism
