Pioneer SX-750
#1

Hi Folks,

Not sure whether to post this here, or in August Phinds, but it is audio gear, and solid state. However, hailing from 1976, or thereabouts, it definitely counts as classic in some form or other. Apart from a gentle clean of the front panel, I've done nothing except power on. It certainly receives, and may have one blown indicator light, for FM (perhaps not surprising).

Very much in the classic receiver heyday style, there is a beautiful illuminated silver front panel, two large meters for signal strength and tuning, and a heavy flywheel on the tuning control. The power amp sports 50 Watts/channel. Not sure what I'll do with it yet, but we'll find a spot.

Ed;
  According to Jordan Pier if it has Matsushita caps of the blue purple colour replace them on site, they are notorious for leaking electrolyte. Elna brand caps don't but they do dry out and go open. I'm not sure if Pioneer stuff uses either of those.

Arran, thanks, I will look at that.

Several Ebay sources offer cap kits, if I'm feeling lazy,

Hello Arran,
I agree Matsushita caps are just plan junk !
