What do you use to adjust the 1/4 inch nuts on the IF cans? Philco calls for a fiber nut driver.

All I have are the standard metal ones. I tried using that type, but it acts like an antenna and increases the signal making it hard to adjust and isn't as accurate.

Are there commercial tools I can buy for this purpose?

I think most people make their own. Here is a link to thread where I describe how I very easily made one out of an old ball point pen.

Thanks. I tried it by heating up a1/4 inch hex bit and sticking it in the end of a pen blank. It held the shape well after I took it out and works well.
