I just finished re-capping my 37-116X manual tuning set. All went well and everything seems to function. I am getting ready to align the radio and this is my question. Should the alignment be performed with or without the speaker connected. The instructions don't say. Thanks for your reply.

WITH. The speaker field coil is part of the power supply. With this set be sure to follow the Philco alignment instructions to the letter.
