Finally - a 38-690!
#16

Two beautiful radios,Ron. Great find. Is the 38-690 a restore, a rebuild or......... just leave it the heck alone and enjoy?
#17

Both (37-690 & 38-690) are working radios...but I am thinking seriously about finding some old Philco paper caps, restuffing them and installing in the 38-690. It's worth the extra effort.

With your two big dog Philco's, your McMurdo, and future Scott you can heat your house with vacuum tubes this winter Icon_wink
