Simple Tube Question?

This question is for a friend and before misleading him I want to make sure I'm correct. This is on a Colonial model 654. AC/DC set.

On the 1V half wave rectifier the filaments are pins 1 & 4. Filaments shown in the filament chain only on the schematic. My thought is that the top bar on the 1V on the schematic is the plate. But what is the other line going to the first filter cap and the 2K resistor?

I go to the tube data and it appears to be a cathode. But attached to the case of the tube? It's my first time even seeing a 1V rectifier.

The cathode of the 1V is connected to pin 3. The plate (yes, the "top bar" is indeed the plate) connects to pin 2.

I prefer the NJ7P database, specs of the 1V (with drawings) are shown here:

Thanks Ron! I use the Duncan Amps site and at the bottom of the page (you already know this) there's an "HTML Page" you can click on that takes you right to the nj7p database. And I do like that database better. Gives a bit more info.
