38-690 New questions
#1

As I progress through this radio, I find myself in need of a few things. The first of which would be a voltage chart. Does anyone have access to one of these?

Also, Looking at the dial mechanism, I can't quite figure out how to get it apart, and it does need to come apart so I can replace the dial scale (one of Mark O's great repros is on order).

I can't wait to get in my replacement e-caps so that I can get to restuffing those old cans.

The Service Bulletin for the Automatic Tuning models, including the 38-690, gives lots of detailed information on servicing the mechanism including how to disassemble it to get to the dial scale. You can download a copy here:

As far as I know, only a limited amount of information was ever published for the 38-690 - a schematic, an under-chassis diagram, a parts list, and alignment info - nothing more.
