I think Chuck might be able to supply a copy of these for you?

Am I correct, Chuck? If not I apologize...

Hi,
If Chuck doesn't have them, or has different ones,I posted these two sheets on 'another' site. You can print them out to size.
As far as I know they are for Philco.

Guys,

Just "fixed" that 1940 sheet number one. I used call book and 1941 tab info to fill in the missing tabs in the jpeg sheet earlier in this thread.

Let me know if you want one and I'll email it to you.

Hi Chuck,

If you would be so kind, I would appreciate getting those 1940 station tabs in my email also. Icon_smile I have a nice 40-190 that has no station tabs on it either.

Thanks,

Ed

Ed,

Get the originals from the two links at the top of this thread. I only fixed page one and that's the one I emailed to you just a while ago.

Chuck,

Thanks. I will also download the files from those two links. What is the best way to print these? I heard that it was necessary to use some sort of Alps printer to print white on black? I only have a HP inkjet printer here.

Just use a color printer. The medium chocolate brown color looks fine to me. A color laser would make un-smudgeable tabs though. Ink jet should dry a while maybe.

Thanks Chuck. I will give it a try. I could also try spraying a thin coat of lacquer over them after they have dried. I also read that someone mentioned printing them in 'reverse' on manilla folder stock. I may experiment with that too.

Hi,
The scans in my links were 600 dpi IIRC. I think the res I scanned them at is sufficient enough, because they will be resized smaller anyway.

You won't need an ALPS printes as your white will be the paper, you're only printing the black/dark brown.

If you have some old paper stock that has yellowed somewhat that would make a good print. These labels were not too thick, and the manilla stock might not pass the light well enough.

The suggestion about spraying a light coat of lacquer makes sense to help prevent a smudge working with them. A coat of light toner can also add an "aged" look.
Good luck, Gary.
