Model 70
#1

I fell into a good deal today and acquired a Philco Model 70 and need some expertise. All the 70 models that I see are pretty much a cathedral style, but this piece that I acquired is not. The electronics in this cabinet are a Philco Model 70. The cabinet however does not look like anything I have been able to find on the web. My question to you Philco experts, is this an original style cabinet? Is it even a Philco style cabinet? I am under the impression that the electronics were somewhere along the line transferred into this cabinet.

Here are some pictures of this deal that I got.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

That cabinet is, most definitely, not original. Most likely homemade, although someone went to a lot of trouble to try and make it appear factory-built.

Still kind of a neat cabinet, though.
