116B cabinet refinish done
#1

Barry Jones who is one of the recommended radio cabinet re-finishers on this site, did this one. The pics don't do it justice. I just can't get the right lighting with this camera. I need a nice sunny day for proper pics. Anyhoot, here it is. Can hardly wait to get the chassis back in Icon_mrgreen

Only before pic I have

The pics of the top and sides came out crappy! So, when a nice day comes along. I'll get pics with the chassis installed.

Very nice, Brian. Barry does great work. Those radios are beautiful when restored to their former glory.

Barry Jones is becoming famous! Icon_smile Another fine refinishing job. Brian, your reminds me of how my 650B looked initially...and how it looks now after Barry refinished it.

That looks great Brian. Where is Barry located? I can't find anything searching for recommended re-finishers on this forum. Did you send the cabinet?
I'm not sure I would dare mail my 90 across country, but I would love to see it's original beauty restored. Anyone know of someone with a good rep near Mpls?
How about a ballpark estimate for a cabinet with no veneer issues, only a few minor cracks in the frame?

Thanks

Thanks guys. I suppose he has good packing advice. And of course it won't weigh a ton
sans chassis and speaker.I will have to give him a buzz.

Very, Very!, nice looking refin indeed! Is Barry using real orig type "nitro lacquers"? Just wondering? Regardless, he is doing very nice refins for sure!! Enjoy your fine Philco!! Icon_biggrin
