Philco Tropic Model A-707

Woo hoo, I just won an A-707 via our favorite online auction house.

I've never seen one of these before, although they had decent production (10,100 were made per Philco Furniture History). And it was misidentified in the auction as a 1939 model, the seller obviously going by a Philco part number.

It uses the same cabinet as a 42-PT3. Both came out in January 1942, a short time before civilian radio production was shut down for the war effort (World War II).

Now I hope it just gets here in one piece instead of in pieces...

Well, it arrived today, packed fairly well...well enough that it arrived undamaged! Icon_biggrin Pictures coming soon...gotta get another roll of film now.
