Schematic for Canadian Philco radio 39-3A1A Code 121
#16

Jack

The 38-14 is similar, but it is an AC/DC set and includes a SW band in addition to standard AM.

About the schematic...I've sent Chuck a higher-resolution copy for his archives. Chuck and I have known each other for years...we help each other out on schematics. Icon_smile

By the way, Ron is the one with the blue hair . . . .
(I'm the cute one . . .)

Hmph! My hair is gray, not blue!

And yours is white.

So there!

Hi Ron & the gang,

An hour ago, I broke the the dial string on my 39-3A1A. It was just too-old and stiff. Would you know where I could buy it?

I am also looking for EXACT grille cloth replacement for that radio. I found an outfit but the grille does not match.

There is a hum in the speaker when I turn the volume all the way down. I guess it's time to replace all the caps starting with power supply ones. Some of the resistors are open so they will have to be replaced.

Thank you.

The closest grill cloth to what you're looking for that I've seen recently is from RadioDaze. Dial drive cord can be found Bob's Antique Radios & Electronics. (btw...that Bob is not me Icon_biggrin )

Hi Bob,

Thank you very much. Both of the above links/items will do the job.

Regards,
