Well did you disconnect the coil from the socket pin 4?
From the post I am not sure whether you did.

I need the coil FULLY disconnected from the socket pin 4 and the point where it met the cap 19 and the resistor 21.

These two leads should be fully disconnected from everything.
Then measure these coil pins, pin 4 of the socket to the chassis.

Find the place that produces that ,70K.
