Stromberg Carlson model 60
#9

Thank you Joe. Here is a progress report.
Finished all the paper capacitors and rebuilt the AC line cap. Added safety caps inside it.

[Image: http://i1336.photobucket.com/albums/o654...bvvvd4.jpg]  Built a speaker plug for it. Thanks to a Bob Anderson video on rebuilding a Stromberg model 64 it really helped with getting the speaker plug wired correctly. There was a indication on the schematic from the rectifier tube to the choke that I had no idea what it meant. Turned out it was to show a jumper connection in the speaker plug.
Looks like I'll be using the Philco speaker till I can find an original which is an 8 inch job.
It has a 3100 ohm field coil. The schematic has no values for the output or field coil.
It uses two 41 output tubes but I have trouble doing the math on what the field coil should be.

The Philco controls seem to work with it. The volume control is touchy and will need to be taken apart and looked at. But the sound is good and it picks up stations all across the dial.
Still quite a bit more work to do and need to lace the wiring harness back for neatness.
