Philco 46-250 code 125?
#3

Hi,
One of the reasons for the discrepancy in the diagram regarding the filters is the old version used a dynamic spkr were your set has a pm spkr. W/o the field coil the power requires more capacitance to remove the 60cy hum. You'll rarely see 50/30mf cap in a set w/a dynamic spkr unless in it a replacement w/what was on hand at the time.  Go with a pair of 47mf@160v. The blue beaver cap is a replacement from back in the '60s, remove, dispose, and ignore.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

Terry
