This stuff really kicks rump! Yes, I use Johnson's Paste Wax in the final step. Getting off the oxidation is where Bake-O-Bryte comes in. It has been over few months and the finish on my bits and knobs sure does look swell!! 
Buy the stuff, YOU'LL LOVE IT!! Notes to the wise....(Don't use a Dremel on high speed setting...OWWZA!).
Use a cloth.
