Chev model B47 car radio
#1

Hi there everyone,
I am working on an example of  this radio at the moment. It now  goes well and I am working  now on both the case and the plastic fascia or escutcheon and also the dial mechanism. The tuning  thumb wheel drives both the permeability tuning and a  tiny drum, visible through the front which has the frequency and station marks on it.Riders gives the schematic for it but no dial stringing diagram.I have managed to get a dial cord onto  the thumb wheel and the drum and it works but not very well and I wondered if anyone could point me to a place where I could find  a dial stringing diagram  for it  or perhaps, if they have an example of this set they might photograph the dial cord arrangement and put it on the Phorum. When I got this set the dial cord was broken.
I also notice ,in the Radiomuseum illustration of this set that there seem to be two "wings"bolted to the sides of the set which presumably help to locate the set in the dash and are  fixed into the dash with two chromed knobs. My set did not come with these. If someone were kind enough to post the dimensions of these "wings" I could probably have a go at fabricating them myself.   Thank you and best wishes.
