I am now down to the cabinet.
It is intact, but dirty as HH.
I tried mineral spirits, it does take dirt off, but there is more than dirt.
It had cloth that I think is quite passable.
The lens is yellow, even though intact and even not scratched much.
The dial is obviously ... it has seen better days.
So maybe keep the lens, so the dial is not so obvious?
I decided to take the cloth and possibly the lens, and give the case a soapy scrub.
I have just ordered hook and pick set to undo the Tinnerman clips.
I will also put plastic film and then tape over label - it's in great shape, would like to keep it.
When clean, I will use shoe polish, same as I did on the same 38-12 case.
Any better ideas as to cleaning?

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
