Hi Phil,

Regarding the 56K resistor, I think you should verify the values in the schematic against the wiring. I believe the 56K was substituted for one of the resistors. It looks like the 70K is in series with the 56K. The schematic shows 100k in series with the 70

If you change back to 13 on the bakelite block you will have to rewire the connections to the block.

I'm having some health issues and won't be able to monitor your progress for a while. I think one of the others should take the lead.
