Personally, I have found that other things make very acceptable grillecloth. I like to use velvet Elvis paintings (the ones done in the glow in the dark colors), orange and lime green Leisure Suits, and old "Meow Mix" bags for my grillecloth.

These and many other wonderful alternatives add a splash of color to your restored set as opposed to the boring repop grillecloth.

I have found that my "alternative" grillecloth makes listening to recordings of my Great Aunt Grinding her teeth and of my last root canal surgery that much more enjoyable.
