Philco 111 cabinet question final pics!
#17

Well, couldn't get the top to were I wanted it so time to take it down. Now I have gotten rid of the dang stain. This is it after a shot of shellac to seal the existing finish and then to move on to some lacquer. Pretty happy with it, after a coat or two of lacquer, will see if I want to perhaps darken it a little with some transtint mixed with lacquer to make up a little toner. The light areas are after a little steel wool and I should have done a wipe to remove the little bit of residue in the low areas of the grain. Should fill in with some lacquer and waiting and sanding some more.
Any body looking who may have a label for the top of the the Philco 111 tube shield and could shoot me a good pic would be greatly appreciated. One of the final touches to the "cabinet" so to speak.
Jerry
