Philco Model 66 Repair

I did get chance today to retest the 6A7 tube. I'm not really satisfied with the initial test. Sometimes I have to put my multi tester on manual, This is based on page two of the schematic.
filament to filament = 6 volts
Pin 2 (plate) to cathode (K) = 253 volts
pin 3 to k = 86 volts
pin 4 to k = 175 volts
pin 5 to k = negative 16. (-16 volts)

This will override the previous reading which had the plate only getting 12 volts due to the voltmeter set to alternating current. The tester is automatic and it will switch on me if I don't watch out.
