Finishing up my 41-280
#1

This was the start

Knobs and push buttons

The push buttons were sliding on hard.  I tried a bit of silicon grease on the metal and added a tad inside the new push buttons with a dental pick.  Did the same on the knobs.  Wonder what others have tried and how it worked?

Station call Letter inserts

Two of the original clear plastic inserts that go ?on top? of the push button call letters were all that were left and quite cloudy.  One was 0.296 X .600 X .0065 and the other was .300 X .600 X .007  Basically the same as the call letters.

My original call letter inserts appear to be like the printables found on this site and have ?wax paper? stuck to the back

The first try was a clear plastic fruit container from the grocery store sliced on a paper shear.  It was .014 and took up all the space so couldn't insert the paper call letters.  The .014 strips worked good for cleaning up the call letter entrance and exit slots in the new face plate.

Finally found an old badge holder that was .007 worked OK.

Anyone found something better?
