Ok, You hit it right on the head. I forgot to clean the band-switch. I thought I did but apparently NOT..
After cleaning the SW bands started to work. I went back and realigned the IF and now motor boating is gone. Sensitivity has improved also. I did change out the 6A8 tube and that helped a lot on SW bands..
Only thing now I need is some Grill cloth as mine is in pretty bad shape..
See photo.. Cannot seem to find this pattern anywhere...

About the closest I see is the New Leaf pattern from Kenny Richmond:

While not entirely correct, I think the Philco 90 style (Whiskey Rayon) would look good in it also.

Here is a pretty good picture of what it looked like new:

There still isn't an exact match being made right now, but the Zenith swirl pattern Kirk posted might be a better option.
I think the Zenith pattern #68 that grillecloth.com use to carry was a pretty decent match to what you have now, but that is no longer available.

Dye it with coffee.
People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

ALL, Thanks I ordered the one from Richmonddesign the Sam posted.
Since its a 18 X 24 in piece and I only need about 9 X 9 in. I might try the Dye..
Last thing I need to do before I put it back in cabinet..

All, I was going over this again.. Before I put in cabinet.. Checking alignment ..
Noticed this.. The Tracking across the bands..
Broadcast Band
From 1700-1100 Tracking is right on..
From 1100-500 Tracking is of 20 Khz high..
SW One..
From 1.8-3.2 Tracking Right on..
From 3.2-6 Tracking about 20-30 KHZ low..
SW Two
From 6.0-9.0 Right on
From 9.0-18.0 Tracking 20Khz high
This was checked with a calibrated generator input to radio was -63 Dbm
Question is what would cause the Tracking issues? Something common to all bands.. Seems like 1/2 of all bands are good other half not so..

It's a little odd to have the same amount of discrepancy on both sw bands as you know the same amount capacity will have more effect as the frequency increases. Anyway you should be able to correct the bcb adjusting J to being the low end in tune. Would consider +/- 5 good on the bcb and 10kc on the sw bands.

Now I think I've got!
