Model 89L Reconing

Does anyone know of a company that sells complete speaker reconing kits that will work on a Model 89L? This one is just not salvageable. I have reconed a few speakers in my day. They were just much larger...and of course more modern.

What I've done is purchased the paper pleated cone from ebay or there are a few supplier around.Google is your friend. Be care about measuring the hole for the voice coil and the depth of the cone. Avoid the cone that require a foam surround  as the foam sometimes creates a clearance issue. Don't know of any "kit" for these old guys, it's kind of a limited market.

Worst case scenario you could fabricate a new cone out of black construction paper, presuming the edges around the voice coil and perimeter have enough good original cone to glue the new cone to.  Take care, Gary
