Schematic Source
#1

I started to post this in the thread that Jake Wells was asking for a better schematic for his GE radio, but then I thought it'd be better starting a new thread for anyone not aware of the following site.

Here is a resource for anyone looking for a schematic.  Nostalgia Air is to be commended for serving the collecting community for years, but many of their scans are hard to read and have not yet been updated. The following site has great scans of both the Beitman manuals and the Rider manuals.  Beitman doesn't cover near as many sets but sometimes their schematics are cleaner than Riders.

There is a complete 1926 to 1966 Beitman index but each volume has an index in the front of the schematics it contains.  For anyone looking for a good schematic I would look at this resource, especially if your Nostalgia Air schematic is hard to read.  Note that some of the schematics provided to Rider were very poor to begin with so sometimes you're stuck with a hard to read schematic.  The manuals and indexes can be downloaded:

Beitman:

https://www.americanradiohistory.com/Beitman-Manual.htm

Rider:

https://www.americanradiohistory.com/Rider-Manual.htm

RCA Service Notes:

https://www.americanradiohistory.com/RCA...ervice.htm

I included the RCA "Red books" that have a wealth of info if you're working on an RCA set.  There is also a library of all kinds of publications like Radio Retailing (my favorite source for ads) and almost all of the Antique Radio Classified issues are on this site.
