Greetings all.

I'm slowly making progress on a Philco 91X and I've reached the point where I'm ready to replace some damaged veneer. I've included a photo  of the veneer  and I'm guessing that it is walnut. Can anyone verify this or if it isn't walnut, what is it?

I agree. Looks like walnut. No red at all like mahogany.

Thanks for the replies. Identification of wood species is not one of my stronger skills.
